Data Analyst

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Data Analyst for The Health Center at Faith Mission in Columbus, Ohio. Faith Mission is one of the largest homeless shelters in Columbus, Ohio, providing meals and shelter to men, women and Veterans with dignity and compassion.

Shift: Day (8 am- 5 pm)

Status: Full Time

Department: Health Center

REQUIREMENTS for a Data Analyst with Lutheran Social Services:

  • Associates degree in business, public health, social service administration or related field required with Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience with data collection and collation, data analysis, and data reporting required
  • Ability to create, recommend, implement, and evaluate systems and processes to achieve operational quality assurance and improvement.
  • Knowledge of grant reporting and outcomes.
  • Effective interpersonal and written and verbal communications skills.
  • Effective analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function independently and possess flexibility and integrity when working with employees and clients.
  • Ability to effectively assess and prioritize multiple tasks with a focus on client/resident service outcomes and internal and external customer service.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a prudent manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES for a Data Analyst with Lutheran Social Services:

  • Implement analytical tools that systematically track program service benchmarks and quality assurance performance, analyzing program data, creating regular (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) program metrics and quality assurance reports, determining root cause(s) of process problems and developing recommended solutions, complete monthly CQI reports
  • Assist with data needs for grant applications and outcome reporting for grants received.
  • Acts as Project Evaluator for the SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) and Prevention Navigator grants
  • Reviews and implements standards and regulations for Federally Qualified Health Centers from HRSA and other applicable organizations.
  • Work with QA Manager as necessary to identify, collect, manage and report data and outcomes related to the Health Center to ensure compliance with any and all federal funding.
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares for Uniform Data Systems (UDS) reports.
  • Assist in development and implementation of strategies, initiatives, and PDSAs related to health center outcomes.
  • Collects and analyzes data and outcomes for quality improvement activities and key performance measures.
  • Creates quality improvement reports and shares results with staff members, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Participates in QI Committee monthly basis.
  • Participates in billing call on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Serves as liaison to electronic health record software and vendor.
  • Assists staff members to use electronic health record and optimize efficiency.
  • Provides technical assistance and support with health center software and equipment.
  • Assists with developing volunteer activities and initiatives to support health center programs related to key performance measures.
  • Attends Faith Mission and other health center team meetings as necessary.
  • Represents LSS Health Center at external agency meetings and events.
  • Conducts file reviews/audits as directed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
